Welcome to the United Federation of Planets' Starbase Aurora.

The Aurora serves in the Dawnspring Fleet, a spin-off from the long running Star Trek simm named Omega Fleet, using characters from that game, but advanced a short period into the future from the "current" post-Nemesis timeline, and moved across the galaxy to a whole new frontier!

New Players & New Characters

The game is set in the Gamma Quadrant, and players may play characters either from Starfleet, or new, custom races not yet discovered, and not part of Starfleet. Creation guidelines are provided in the database. Players should observe the guidelines for creating new races if they wish to do so. Races will be evaluated for game balance before being allowed, but so long as they meet the basic balance requirements, they will most likely be accepted. New races will not begin as part of the crew of a ship or station (unless supposedly from the Alpha Quadrant/Starfleet), but can become regular characters with duties aboard the base or the ship, as a civilian specialist. This game is much less about rank and position than about having a fun time writing together.

There is a newly discovered wormhole to the Alpha Quadrant, so new and old Starfleet characters can be transported to the station. New Starfleet characters should have one of two ways to be introduced: Either as a new arrival through the wormhole, or coming up from the "lower decks" to their current role in the game.

Players wanting to play civilian or other non-Starfleet characters/races from the Alpha/Beta Quadrants can also come through the wormhole.
